What does Cuba have in common with a Halifax radio station?
In May I went to Cuba with two of my best friends! We'd been talking about taking a trip like this for so long but never set concrete plans. Finally, in April 2013 we'd all graduated from our respective universities and had made CONCRETE plans to head down South for a week of fun in the sun! To say we were excited would be an understatement. As we boarded the plane we felt like children going to Disney World, except our Disney World had unlimited food, unlimited alcohol and non-stop relaxation! One week of pure bliss! I even got a tan, meaning my freckles eventually connected giving one the illusion that I had tan! We went to the Riu Varadero in Varadero, Cuba, and absolutely fell in love with the resort and people. Heres a few pictures from this spectacular trip!
Needless to say when we got home reality set in and we had to pay off our trips. Being a grown up sucks! Slowly, but surely, I began paying down my credit card. I entered a contest with one of the local radio stations, 101.3 The Bounce, called The Bounce Pays Your Bills! I entered my Cuba trip as a bill and guess who won! YES! My name was called on Friday the 13th, I phoned the radio station and today I picked up my cheque! I'm so thankful for this extra money as it helped me pay off Cuba and will allow me to save more for
So, today this blog was about my amazing Cuba trip and a fantastic radio station station in Halifax! What do they have in common? Well, they paid my Cuba bill, leaving me forever grateful. Everyone needs to experience a trip down South, except BE WARNED- you will be hooked! It was WELL worth every penny spent and every pound gained!
My next trip- Europe! Let the saving begin.
