I would love to go to the spa and get regular facials but who can't afford that? Instead, I do my own at home! They're simple and very cheap compared to the price of a facial at a spa. I try to do this once a week.
This is how I do it:
Step 1 - Wash your face with your regular cleanser. Rinse and DON'T put lotion on yet!
Step 2 - Exfoliate. You can buy great exfoliators or you can make them at home. I use DermaGlow Vitamin C Microdermabrasion. Be gentle on your skin, rub in circular motions and try not to push too hard.
Step 3 - Steam your face. What I usually do is boil water, put into a large bowl then sit down, place your face in the bowl and cover your head with a towel. It gets pretty hot in there so beware! Another way is to simply use a hot face cloth and press it to your face. The purpose of this is to allow the steam to open your pores so your face mask can do its job.
Step 4 - After steaming, apply a face mask. I like using a blackhead clearing mask or deep cleansing mask, and you can always make natural face masks at home. Let the mask dry on your face then gently rinse. I've used many masks but there are four that I love. I own #1 and #3, and have tried samples of #2 and #4. Mask #5 is a little different but I'm totally obsessed with it. It's like a cloth with spots for your eyes, nose and mouth, and you leave it on for 15 minutes and it hydrates and tightens your skin. They come in a pack of one, it's only $7.00, and it feels AH-MAH-ZING!

I truly notice a difference in my skin when I do this. I try to incorporate it into my weekly routine, and even get a bubble bath with candles when doing this to feel even more relaxed! Your skin will feel so rejuvenated and soft that you'll be addicted to this process, just like me!
Cheers,
Bhreagh
