I'm still in the process of re-doing my childhood bedroom and am looking for adult (ish) decorations and feminine accents. This past weekend I laid in bed, and I will not share how long I laid in bed for, just simply searching for items to add to my new grown up bedroom. Below are a few items I found, love, and now want!
Abacus Table Lamp, West Elm
Edge Ruffle Duvet Cover, Urban Outfitters
Merry & Bright Print, Chapters
Monumental Cities 2014 Calendar, Anthropologie
Luxe Sequin Pillow, Indigo
I think having a little bit of glam in your bedroom is nice, especially when it's that gorgeous sequin pillow! My room isn't very big so I need cute items and accents, like a nice mirror, to make the room appear larger. I'm also on the hunt for a new light fixture for the ceiling and a brand new bed. Suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

I'm in the process of re-doing my bedroom. Until recently my bedroom had plaid dog wall paper from my childhood so I decided to upgrade to a grown up colour. I painted the walls a mix between grey and lavender and decorated with white and black accents. I'm now hunting for a new bedroom set, shelving and of course, ART! I decided to throw together a few pieces I love and make a gallery wall. I love the above pieces but know I will most likely add more to this wall. I'm also hoping to find small and cute pieces to add around my room and make it more girly! Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
More pieces I'm loving for my room are below.

Growing up my bedroom was beige with green plaid wallpaper and I had a very old twin bed (it creeks when I move)! It wasn't until a few months ago that I finally decided to change my room. I painted the walls a grey-mauve and decided, today, to get rid of the twin bed. Just painting my room made a huge difference, but now it's time to decorate and make it my own! I'm currently coveting some gorgeous items and have scoured through home decor magazines and websites, so I have a very good idea how what my room will look like when completed. I love this, this and this!
One site I've perused it Houzz, and it's great because it gives you pictures of a specific room or item you love and allows you to add it to your own look book. It's great for inspiration and I've already found a few cute room ideas!
I love blogs, and one of my favourite is Park Avenue. It was created by Jackie and it's about her living in NYC (my dream) and she blogs from her gorgeous studio apartment. I've found a lot of great decor ideas on her site and want to have a gallery wall similar to hers (see it here).
I'm so excited to get started on re-doing my bedroom! I don't have a lot of room to work with but I've read great tips on maximizing a small area. I love crisp and clean lines along with feminine touches so it's going to be so fun decorating my space.
I can't wait to start making subtle changes. I'm also going to try some projects on my own which could be great or absolutely terrible! Being artistic and creative is not my strong suit but I'm excited to try things on my own, and maybe save some money in the process.
