I still have a lot to pack and it will be a very busy week, but I'm so excited to move and start school at Humber!

This is my last week in Nova Scotia until December! I leave for Toronto on Saturday and move into my new apartment the following Monday. I had a list of items I had to buy before leaving, and on that list was a new rain jacket. I found this jacket at Winners for $30.00! It's definitely one of my new favourites and I'm SO glad I found it for such a great price.

I've been hunting for boyfriend jeans that don't make me look like a boy, and I believe I've found the perfect pair! I bought these jeans from The Bay this past weekend. They're a little too big for me but that makes them even more comfortable. The Bay had awesome sales and I think I paid $25.00 for these pants.
I wore this outfit to a movie with my Mom. I usually HATE wearing jeans to a movie but since these were so comfortable and loose I didn't mind at all. Cheers, Bhreagh Finally, it's shorts season! It's so exciting to finally wear shorts because my legs aren't constantly stuffed into tight and uncomfortable skinny jeans. My summer style is extremely laid back and most days (after work) you'll catch me in jean shorts and a t-shirt. If I have to get dressed up it usually consists of a nice pair of high waisted shorts, like the black or green pair above, and a fancy (ish) top.
I have a few shorts that are "old faithfuls", such as my American Eagle jean shorts, see here and here, and high waisted floral shorts. They're a staple in my wardrobe and are starting to wear out so much that my best friend frequently tells me to go buy new ones. So, this past weekend I did just that! I bought jean shorts from Target and loved them so much I went back to buy a white pair (pictured above). It's hard to find a pair of shorts that fit both in the waist and thighs, and aren't so short that others can see your behind, so when I find a pair like this I buy multiple and make them last! I made the above set on Polyvore, which is one of my favourite sites! Check out the set here, or simply go to Polyvore and create outfits. Cheers, Bhreagh Blazer, Target / T-Shirt, Joe Fresh (old) / Pants, Forever 21 / Shoes, Ardenes (old) / Not only is it this outfit extremely comfortable but it's also perfect for casual Fridays. I work in an environment that allows jeans, but I try to keep my wardrobe a little more professional. I tend to wear a lot of blazers, and this one from Target is my new favourite. The colours are beautiful, I can wear it in the summer and winter, and it was only $25.00! Throw it on with my most comfortable pants from Forever 21, and a black t-shirt, and you have one of my go-to outfits.
These pictures were taken by my best friend just after we left Urban 30, which is Halifax's first blowdry bar. My hair felt so great and I love how the stylist curled it! If you haven't been to Urban 30, and you live in Halifax, I suggest giving it a try before your next big outing. It's so worth it. Cheers, Bhreagh This set was made by me on Polyvore. Check the shoes out here. I'm so excited that the weather is warmer and I can finally put my boots away for the summer. I was on Polyvore, as per my usual nightly routine, and I created a collage of shoes I'm currenly coveting. At home, I've pulled out all my summer flats and sandals, but am in need of some new ones.
I'm almost six feet tall, so wedges/heels aren't normally in my daily routine. This summer I am going to TRY to wear them more, and the two pictured above are on my list. I love #5 and have been searching for a pair like this for a while. Gladiator sandals are perfect for me! Since I'm so tall and seldom wear heels, I try to find dressy pairs of sandals to wear with dresses and to work. I'm still on the hunt for more. Cheers, Bhreagh It's that time of year to clean out your closet and put those dark and thick winter clothes away for the summer! I'm usually someone who wears all black (like my outfit today) but during warmer weather I try to stay away from too much black and throw some colour into the mix. Since my best friend just moved into a new apartment and she's having a house warming party this weekend I decided to created two outfits on Polyvore. These are similar to what I would typically wear to a casual BBQ/Potluck/Housewarming Party. Check them out below: I love the black shorts with subtle lace detail at the bottom from outfit #1. They're just enough girly for me, and they're black! These shorts are on my wish-list and it's likely that they'll be mine soon!
If I have to wear heels I'm definitely putting on a pair of wedges. I'm already 5'10 so I don't wear any type of heel very often. I also walk like a baby dear while wearing heels so I try to stick to wedges. I love the wedges from outfit #2 and am on the hunt to find a similar pair in Halifax! Visit Polyvore to create some of your own outfits (and to shop!). Cheers, Bhreagh Jeans, Smart Set / Top, Smart Set / Bag, H&M (old) / Blazer, Vero Moda (old) / Flats, Globo Shoes / Necklace, Joe Fresh / I'm so lucky to work at a place I love and in an environment that allows jeans during the week. I try to limit the days I wear jeans, but today I felt it necessary! It's the first day back to work after a long weekend AND I just bought the perfect pair of jeans! I wore them with my new white blouse, an old faithful blazer, black flats and a chunky necklace.
I bought the jeans on Saturday at Smart Set and am so happy I did! I'm always hesitant to try on pants at stores because it's so difficult to find the right pair. I'm tall and I have hips, which is a deadly combination when shopping for pants. Needless to say I've found my new favourite jeans and they didn't break the bank! Check them out here at Smart Set. And guess what- they're on sale! Can you tell it was starting to rain while we were taking these pictures? We had a little fun at the beginning, so I had to post the first picture! Cheers, Bhreagh I've been searching for the perfect midi skirt for quite some time. I found this blue one a few weeks ago at Dynamite and had to have it. I could have purchased it in black, see here, but I decided to step outside my comfort zone and buy colour! I tend to stick to all black clothing so I'm trying really hard to buy colourful items.
What I should be trying hard to do is shop less, but who wants to do that? Not me! Cheers, Bhreagh I'm so excited for this snow to finally melt and bring on warmer weather! After one of the biggest storms of the season (yes this happened in SPRING) I decided to start dressing for spring. This means brighter colours, dresses and cute flats (although I will have to wear tights with dresses). The items above are some things on my wish list.
I already purchased the black dress (#4) and am in love with it! It's so easy to dress up or down, and it's definitely longer on me than the model. I love wearing a chunky necklace with it and heading to work. I also own #5, but I have it in an olive green, and now I want it in this pattern! I'm in love with the white blazer (#3)! I'm definitely purchasing this and am so excited to wear it in both spring and summer. Cheers, Bhreagh I've been so busy these last few weeks training for a new position at work, and I love it! Yes, you heard me correct- I love my job! It's going to be an intense, fast paced summer that I'm so looking forward to. Long and stressful weeks lead to short and relaxing weekends, and thats where the above outfit comes into play. This is my typical weekend outfit. I wear a slouchy tee, throw on a comfy jacket and pair it with a jeggings. If I feel like dressing it up I put on a blazer. It's not very complicated but it's so comfy and perfect for running errands. Since I am enjoying my new position so much, and will be assisting in training of new summer students, I decided to go shopping for more suitable outfits for work. I bought a few tops, a dress and some cute accessories. Perhaps I'll do more outfit posts now! Oh, and I also started running again so my body hurts. Why do people enjoy this? Cheers, Bhreagh |
