The Academy Awards were on last night and I stayed up way later than I should have to watch and to write this blog post! I LOVED the show last night. I don't remember a host ever being as funny as Ellen! Not only was she hilarious but she CRASHED twitter with the selfie of all selfies. There were no big surprises for the winners, but my heart is still broken my boyfriend Leonardo DiCaprio didn't win. Of course, my favourite part is the fashion! I usually pick 10 gowns that I love but I had to pick 12 this year. Below are my choices! I loved the gowns this year and thought everyone looked stunning. I could talk about every dress on this list because it's hard to pick a favourite. Whether it be Julia Roberts lace, Lupita's Cinderella'esq look, Jennifer Lawrence's back necklace or Olivia Wilde's high neckline, they're all my favourites and I'd gladly wear any of these dresses (DUH!).
But, can I just say how dapper the men looked. Leo stole my heart, as he always does, and I loved the cream jackets on the carpet. Perhaps tomorrow I'll post my favourite mens looks! Cheers, Bhreagh These pictures were found on Buzzfeed. It's hard to believe it's only been one year since Jennifer Lawrence tripped up the stairs at the Academy Awards and stole our hearts with her witty acceptance speech. For todays post I thought I would round up some of my favourite red carpet looks from past Oscars and compile them into a Top 10 list. Below are my choices: #10- Zoe Saldana wearing Givenchy Haute Couture (2010) #9- Beyonce wearing Vintage Versace (2005) #8- Cate Blanchett wearing Givency Haute Couture (2011) #7- Katherine Heigal wearing Escada (2008) #6- Sandra Bullock wearing Marchesa (2010) #5- Jennifer Lawrence wearing Christian Dior Haute Couture (2013) #4- Jessica Alba wearing Versace (2006) #3- Mila Kunis wearing Elie Saab (2011) #2- Michelle Williams wearing Vera Wang (2006) #1- Kate Hudson wearing Versace (2003) My top three choices- Mila Kunis, Michelle Williams and Kate Hudson- e basically all tied for first. Every woman in this list looks like a doll and there were so many more immaculate dresses I could choose from.
I wonder if I'll have any new favourites after this Sundays broadcast of the 2014 Academy Awards! Check back Monday to see my favourite fashion choices, what themed snacks I made, and what I thought about the winners. Have a great weekend! Cheers, Bhreagh |
