I have a confession – I am deeply in love with lip stick. In my purse there’s always nine lip sticks, all different shades, textures and brands. Every time I go to the beauty department, I come out with at least one new lip stick. If you catch me without lip stick, I’m either sick or have just finished eating and haven’t had time to re-apply.
I have specific lip sticks I wear during the day. I'm not one to wear bold reds or extreme purples at work due to the casual nature of my office. I stick to plums and pinks, and then play up the colour with accessories.

1. Stila All Day Liquid Lip Stick- First of all, these lip sticks smell like candy! It's a great stain that lasts all day while moisturizing your lips. I received two samples from Sephora: Beso True Red (worn here) and Aria Magenta Plum. Aria is a great daytime colour and can be re-applied to create a darker/bolder look for night time. Stila products are expensive, but if you’re looking for a good quality and long lasting stain, and are not concerned about price, I would recommend trying the All Day Liquid lip stick.
2. Maybeline Baby Lips- I have five baby lips, two of which are the same colour. There is always one in my purse. I tend to use a stain, then apply a similar Baby Lips colour to moisturize. These are very inexpensive and are great for travelling.
3. Cover Girl Gloss Balm- I have this product in Jam Twist and the colour matches every outfit. It's not a stain, so it requires multiple applications throughout the day. The great thing is it’s a lip colour and lip balm, so it moisturizes while making you look beautiful!
4. Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain- This lip stick is similar to the Cover Girl Gloss Balm, except this one is a stain and a balm. Revlon is my go-to brand for affordable makeup, and the Kissable Balm Stain is my favourite product. The colour featured above, Just Bitten, is perfect for summer days. I use Smitten regularly, but also use Crush (worn here) and Lovestick for bolder, more vibrant lips.
5. Cover Girl Outlast All Day Lip Stain- This is the PERFECT stain. It comes with a tube of lip colour and colourless balm for moisturizing. I put this on in the morning, before work, and the colour lasts all day. No joke. I have this in Plum Berry, Burgundy and Coral.
My love for lip stick is growing and I’m sure I’ll buy more before this post goes live! Does anyone else have a favourite daytime lip stick?
Cheers,
