The seasons are changing, leaves are falling and it's gorgeous outside but it's that time of year when everyone gets sick. I can attest to the sickness because I'm currently feeling it! Scratchy throat, sore eyes, runny nose and body chills make for painful, and tiring, days. I've been tired since 2008 and have managed to figure out a few ways to trick people into thinking I'm wide awake!

Before doing your makeup dab beneath your eyes with Clarins Eye Contour Gel because it instantly reduces puffiness and moisturizes at the same time. Let that sit for a few minutes before applying concealer. Dab concealer under your eyes, very gently, and let sit. I like Quo Colour Correcting Palette because it allows you to use different colours to hide minor imperfections. It's sheer so I use a little extra but I find it lasts all day. I use the yellow under my eyes because it helps hide dark circles and then dab purple below the yellow to brighten the skin. I follow with regular concealer or foundation. Dab a light shimmer eye shadow in the corners of your eye and below your eye brow. The opens up your eye making you look AWAKE! Follow with blush and lipstick. Then make sure you curl your eye lashes, especially when you're tired or sick, because it makes your eyes look bigger. Follow with your favourite mascara, mine is Benefit They're Real. Finally, use a highlighter to brighten some areas on your face. I use it below my temple on my cheek bone and above my eye brows. This gives your face a glowy/dewy look which makes you look more awake! I always finish with a finishing powder and setting mist because it helps eliminate excess oils that build up during the day.
Today, this is how I look. Not a lot of makeup but enough to make me presentable and look awake.
Being sick sucks! Does someone want to sing me Soft Kitty?
Cheers,
Bhreagh
